Terms and Conditions

 

1. Age Requirement & Legal Compliance

By placing an order, you certify that you are at least 18 years of age (or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction).

  • User Responsibility: It is the sole responsibility of the buyer, not the Retailer, to consult local, state, and federal laws regarding the possession and use of any item purchased.
  • Compliance: By purchasing, you represent that the products ordered will be used in a lawful manner and that you are not prohibited from possessing such items by any local or federal restriction. Any misrepresentation regarding age or legal eligibility voids the transaction and any associated warranties.

 

2. Shipping & Restricted Destinations

Due to varying complex knife laws, we reserve the right to refuse sales or shipping to specific locations.

  • Automatic Cancellations: Orders containing items restricted in the shipping destination (e.g., certain automatic knives, gravity knives, or blade lengths) will be cancelled and refunded.
  • International Shipping: For international orders, the buyer assumes all risk of customs seizure. We are not responsible for items confiscated or returned by customs officials. Additionally, international orders that are seized, delayed, or destroyed by customs are not eligible for refund or replacement.

 

3. Product Representation & Accuracy

We are committed to providing the highest level of accuracy and transparency in our product listings; however, please note:

  • Variations: Due to the organic and technical nature of materials used when producing our products, as well as the hand-applied finishes (such as anodizing, stonewashing, or hand-grinding), no two items are identical. Unique Attributes: The pattern, color density, and graining of your specific item may vary from the digital representation. These variations are not considered defects but are hallmarks of the production, semi-custom and custom manufacturing process.
  • Errors: We reserve the right to correct any typographical errors, inaccuracies, or omissions relating to product descriptions, pricing, and availability without prior notice.

 

4. Assumption of Risk & Release of Liability

Knives are inherently dangerous instruments.

  • Liability: Poikiloblade shall not be liable for any damage or injury (physical or financial) resulting from the use, misuse, or ownership of any product sold.
  • Indemnification: The buyer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Poikiloblade from any claims against the company resulting from the buyer's purchase, ownership, or use of the product.

 

5. Returns, Exchanges, and "Mint" Condition

  • Inspection: Items must be returned in the exact condition received. We understand the vacuum seal must be opened for inspection; however, the knife must remain in factory-new condition.
  • Exclusions: We cannot accept returns on knives that have been disassembled, sharpened, stropped, or used to cut any material (including paper or cardboard). Any signs of "pocket carry," such as snail trails on titanium or wear on the pocket clip, will void return eligibility.
  • Restocking Fees: We reserve the right to charge a restocking fee (15%) for returns that are not due to manufacturer defects.
  • Return Process: Returns must be initiated within 7 calendar days of delivery. Customer must obtain return authorization prior to shipment. Customer is responsible for return shipping label.

 

6. Order Fulfillment & Drops

  • Cart Policy: Due to the limited nature of our inventory, items in your cart are not reserved until the transaction is finalized.
  • Right to Cancel: We reserve the right to cancel any order that appears to be placed by automated "bots" or for the purpose of unauthorized resale.

 

7. Warranty Information

  • Lifetime Craftsmanship Guarantee: We warrant our knives to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for the lifetime of the product. This warranty covers the structural integrity of the frame, lock-up, and blade geometry under intended use.
  • Initial Inspection (DOA): Claims for cosmetic defects or shipping damage must be reported to poikiloblade@gmail.com within 48 hours of delivery.
  • What is Not Covered: This warranty does not cover "wear and tear." This includes, but is not limited to:
    • Dulling of the cutting edge.
    • Scratches, "snail trails," or wear on anodized finishes/coatings.
    • Damage caused by prying, throwing, or other forms of gross misuse.
  • The "User-Serviceable" Clause: We recognize that enthusiasts may wish to clean their knives.
    • Disassembly for cleaning and lubrication does not void your warranty, provided the knife is reassembled correctly and no parts are damaged in the process.
    • However, the use of incorrect tools (stripping screws) or the loss of internal parts (bearings, detent balls) is not covered.
  • Modifications: Third-party modifications (such as regrinds, third-party anodizing, or structural alterations) will void the Poikiloblade Manufacturer Warranty.
