Shipping & Return Policy
1. Shipping Philosophy & Execution
At Poikiloblade, we understand that our products are precision instruments and functional art. We do not just "ship" a box; we ensure its safe passage.
- Handling Time: Most in-stock orders are processed and dispatched within 2–3 business days. For "Drop" events, please allow up to 5 business days due to high volume.
- Carrier & Security: All domestic orders are shipped via UPS, FedEx, or USPS at Poikiloblade’s discretion, with full tracking.
- Signature Required: For your protection, all orders exceeding $500 will require an adult signature upon delivery.
- Insurance: Every shipment is fully insured for its replacement value.
- The "Porch Piracy" Disclaimer: Poikiloblade’s responsibility ends once the carrier confirms delivery to the address provided by the customer. We strongly recommend shipping to a secure location or a "Hold for Pickup" facility if you cannot be present for delivery.
- International Shipments: We ship worldwide where legal. However, the buyer assumes all responsibility for customs duties, taxes, and the risk of seizure.
- Carrier Delays: Poikiloblade is not responsible for delays caused by carriers, weather, customs, or events beyond our control.
2. The Poikiloblade "No-Hassle" Return Window
We want you to be satisfied with your acquisition. You have 7 calendar days from the date of delivery to initiate a return.
- Condition Requirement: To receive a refund, the knife must be in Mint, Unused Condition.
- The vacuum seal may be opened for inspection, but the knife must not have been carried, clipped to a pocket, or used to cut any material.
- Any signs of repeated opening/closing, pivot wear, edge degradation, or cosmetic wear inconsistent with factory-new condition.
- Restocking Fee: Returns for "buyer’s remorse" or "changed mind" are subject to a 15% restocking fee. This covers our original shipping costs, insurance, and the labor required for a technical re-inspection to ensure the knife is fit for resale to another collector.
3. How to Initiate a Return
- Email: Contact us at poikiloblade@gmail.com with your Order Number and the reason for the return. Note, unauthorized returns may be refused or returned to sender.
- Authorization: If approved, we will issue a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA). Do not ship a knife back without an RMA.
- Shipping Back: The customer is responsible for return shipping costs. The return must be shipped with tracking and insurance for the full purchase price. If the knife is lost or damaged during the return trip, Poikiloblade cannot issue a refund.
4. Damaged or Defective Items (DOA)
As the brand and retailer, we take extreme pride in our Quality Control. If your knife arrives with a functional defect or was damaged during initial transit:
- Contact us within 48 hours of delivery.
- We will provide a pre-paid shipping label.
- Upon inspection, we will either repair the instrument, replace it, or issue a 100% refund (including shipping) at our discretion.
5. Non-Returnable Items
- International orders once shipped.
- Custom "one-off" builds specifically commissioned by the buyer.
- Items marked as “Blemish,” "Garage Sale," or "Final Sale."
- Any knife that has been modified, sharpened, or disassembled improperly.
6. Policy Supremacy Clause
- In the event of a conflict between policies, the Terms & Conditions shall govern.
